Featured Certification Pathways
District Cohort Pathway
CES partners with select school districts to offer a district-specific, cohort-based pathway to teacher certification designed around local workforce and campus needs. Candidates engage in primarily in-person, structured preparation and clinical experiences alongside their cohort, with ongoing coaching, supervision, and personalized support from CES.
Through this unique partnership model, candidates prepare to serve within their partner district and continue receiving targeted support throughout their paid internship year and through certification.
Special Education (SPED) Certification
Designed to help districts strengthen their pipeline in one of the Houston region’s highest-need certification areas, CES prepares aspiring special education teachers with focused coursework in evidence-based instructional practices, IEP development and implementation, progress monitoring, behavior supports, and meeting the diverse needs of students with disabilities. Candidates also receive targeted certification exam preparation and personalized support—contributing to a 100% SPED certification exam pass rate among CES candidates who have tested.
